jardin Albert-Ier
The Albert-Ier Garden is one of Nice's oldest public gardens. It is enclosed in a perimeter formed by Avenue des Phocéens, Place Masséna, Avenue de Verdun and the promenade des Anglais. As it expanded, it successively took the names of Garden Paradise, Garden of Plants, Garden Masséna, Garden of Palms and, in 1914, Garden Albert-Ier, King of the Belgians, in tribute to his courageous position facing Germany.
