La Galère

La Galère is a sensational attraction of the Asterix Park opened on April 30, 1989, at the same time as the park. It is of rocking boat type, from the builder Zamperla, model Galleon, similar to a giant swing. This type of attraction is often found in amusement parks or carnivals, but not necessarily in the form of a boat.

Located in the "Les Vikings" area, the attraction welcomes visitors thanks to its 54 seats and its capacity is 750 people per hour. The length of the tour is two minutes and the minimum size to access it is 1.20 m. The most intense effects are located at both ends.

The principle is simplest, one or more wheels with a tyre rotating very fast, drive the vessel from below, alternately in both directions.
