Le Channel

About

The Channel is a high place of cultural life in Calais (Pas-de-Calais), and one of the 76 in France that is labeled "Scene nationale" by the Ministry of Culture. Since 1994, the Channel has been installed on the site of the old slaughterhouses in the city, transforming a place of death into a place of life. It contains multiple theatres, a bar, a restaurant, and a bookshop run by Actes Sud.
