musée de la machine agricole et à vapeur
Mus'énergie, the museum of motor power and energy at the service of Man, is a museum located in Ambert (Puy-de-Dôme) in France. It is managed by Mechanical Heritage and know-how in the country of Ambert, an association law of 1901 that works to preserve steam machines, thermal engines, agricultural tractors and others. It opened in 1981 under the name Musée de la machine AGRIcole et à VAPeur (Agrivap).
Description and activities: The museum presents different ways of energy used over time by Man to feed, heat and produce goods. The discovery route is partly driven by fifteen moving machines and short videos accessible on interactive screens. An old micro power plant operated by a steam machine of respectable size is the key point of the visit. The museum also presents an overview of know-how related to the local braid and rosary industries.
