Saint John Church is a Catholic church located in Auvergne, Ambert. Replacing a previous Romanesque building, replacing a Carolingian church itself, it was built at the end of the Middle Ages in flamboyant Gothic style and was characterized by its Renaissance bell tower. It is built of granite, local material The main religious building in the Ambert Valley, it has been the centre of the spiritual life of Livradois since the Middle Ages.

Placed under the name of John the Baptist, she took over the dedication of the former Baptistery, the parish being dedicated to Como and Damien in the Middle Ages, then Jean-François Régis in the modern era. Since 1909, the church has been listed as a historical monument. In 2013 and 2015, structural disorders led to the fall of stones, the closure of part of the building to the public and the cessation of the bell ringing.
