The paper mill of Richard-de-Bas in Ambert in the natural region of Livradois, in the department of Puy-de-Dôme, in the center of the Central Massif, is one of the oldest French companies. The mill has been partially classified as a historical monument since 1983 and the SARL "Paper Mills of Val de Lagat" has been labeled a Living Heritage Company since 2020.
