The Museum of the Armed Forces Health Service was founded in 1916 in Val-de-Grâce. It is located 1, Place Alphonse-Laveran in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. However, the archives attest to the existence of a natural history firm, which brings together various objects, made available to students.

However, it was not until the circular of 5 May 1916 that such a body was established. The museum has been open to the public since 1986.
