About

The Hélène-et-Victor-Basch Memorial is a memorial dedicated to Hélène and Victor Basch, executed by the French militia on 10 January 1944 in Neyron, Ain, France. It was erected in 1945, at the time at the exact location of their execution. It was moved to its current location when the viaduct was built.

Today, the memorial is located at the place called Combe de Crépieux, at the level of the 11, chemin de Barry, under the viaduct Hélène-et-Victor-Basch, partly located in Neyron. The documentary Milice, a black film, uses photographs of the memorial, in the introduction of the passage dedicated to Hélène and Victor Basch, during which their granddaughter Françoise Basch gives his testimony.
