About

The Normandie-Niémen Memorial is a museum dedicated to the " Normandie-Niémen" hunting group created in 1942 by the French Forces libres. The museum in Les Andelys (Eure) closed in December 2010, while a Normandy-Niémen space opened in 2014 at the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace in Paris-Le Bourget. One of the drivers of the group, Marcel Lefevre, being from the Andelys, the memorial also told his story through a collection of memories. On the esplanade in Raymond Phelip Street, a Mirage F1 painted in the colours of the 50th anniversary of Normandy-Niémen is on display.
