Ouvrage Rimplas

About

The work of Rimplas, originally called the Madeleine, is a fortification forming part of the Maginot line, located in the commune of Rimplas in the department of Alpes-Maritimes. It is a large artillery structure, located at 1,102 metres above sea level and forbids the passage through the valley of the Tinée, covering the small works of Fressinea and Valdeblore (which are in the bottom of the valley).
