About

The Miribel Bridge or Miribel Bridge or Island Bridge, is a bridge located in Miribel, Ain, France, formerly a road that allows the junction between the city centre of Miribel (rue du pont de l'Île) located north of the Miribel Canal with the Parc de Miribel-Jonage (route de l'Île). In addition to the Miribel Canal, the bridge crosses the road adjacent to the canal and the Lyon-Perrache railway line in Geneva. Without highways and railways, this bridge was the only road crossing of the Miribel Canal between Jons Bridge and Vaulx-en-Velin.

Since 1 December 2022, the bridge was closed to traffic (excluding pedestrians and bicycles) for safety reasons. Since July 3, 2023, it has been permanently closed to cars.
