The suspension bridge of the East River or the English Bridge is a suspension bridge that allows the crossing of the East River, a river of the island of La Réunion acting as the communal boundary between Saint-Benoît and Sainte-Rose. With a maximum range of 152 metres, it was the longest bridge in the world when it was delivered in 1894. It is now closed, replaced by the new East River bridge.
