ponts couverts
The covered bridges of Strasbourg constitute a set of three bridges spanning the Ill in the heart of the Petite France district. Between the 13th and 18th centuries, there were four covered bridges. The current bridges are no longer covered but have retained their name. The four fortified towers — five originally — staggering these bridges have been classified as historic monuments since 1928.
