The Promontoire refuge is a refuge located in France in the Écrins massif, perched on the spur of the Promontoire in the south face of the Meije. This is the usual starting point, starting from the Bérarde, from the crossing of the Meije, which is considered one of the most beautiful mountain races in the Alps.
