The Adèle-Planchard refuge is located in France, in the Écrins massif, at an altitude of 3,169 metres, at the foot of the Grande Ruine, in the Parc national des Écrins. The historic refuge was built in 1926, it still exists and a new shelter was built next door in 1981.
