théâtre Malakoff
The Malakoff Theatre is a now extinct Parisian theatre located 56 bis, avenue de Malakoff (now avenue Raymond-Poincaré) in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. It could contain 400 people. Aurélien Lugné-Poe created there with the theatre troupe of L'Annonnce, made to Marie de Paul Claudel on December 20, 22 and 23, 1912.
At the end of 1913, the newspaper Les Temps nouvelles announced that it was going to play the play Les Tisserands, a social work, and said that it hoped not to lose too much money. The performances took place in March 1914, on the eve of the first global conflict. The author, Gerhardt Hauptmann, is German.
After the two performances planned, the newspaper claimed success. In addition to theatre and opera, this room hosts other events such as the Claude Debussy festival (1913).
