The church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption is a parish church located at Château-d'Oléron, in the department of Charente-Maritime and the diocese of La Rochelle and Saintes. Built in the 17th century to replace several buildings destroyed during the expansion of the citadel, it is characterized by its large proportions and several paintings, including a Louis XV-style altarpiece. The neo-roman bell tower overlooking downtown houses is an addition to the 19th century.
