Église Saint-Jacques (Aubeterre-sur-Dronne)

The church of Saint-Jacques is a parish church located in Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, in the Charente department and the diocese of Angoulême. This former collegiate, almost entirely destroyed during the Wars of Religion, nevertheless retains a monumental facade borrowed from the Romanesque and Poitevin style. Like the nearby Saint John monolithic church, it was for pilgrims a stop on the road to Santiago de Compostela. The church gate is classified as historical monuments by the list of 1862.
