Église Saint-Léger à Bessines-sur-Gartempe

History: The church dates from the 13th and 15th centuries. The façade and roofs of the church were inscribed as historical monuments on 4 July 1973. Dedicated to Saint Léger (canonized martyr in 681), largely redone in the 15th century. Four-span nave. The northern chapel of the " Lords of Monism" carries the weapons of the Razés Monism on the vault. On the exterior north wall is built a stone engraved in limestone (rare in Limousin) representing the symbol of the blessing hand. This stone would be intimately linked to Grammont's history.
