About

The church Saint-Mesmin is a French Roman Catholic church built in the 11th and 12th centuries, located in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin in the Loiret department in the Centre-Val de Loire region. The building was built in consecration of Saint Mesmin the Elder (Maximin of Micy), on the cliff in which is dug the cave of the dragon of Béraire and from which the commune derives its name. It is one of the oldest in the Loire Valley.
