The church Saint-Thomas-d-Aquin is located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, Place Saint-Thomas-d-Aquin, between Rue du Bac and Boulevard Saint-Germain. Before 1790, she was part of the Jacobin convent on Rue Saint-Dominique. It took its present name in 1802 when it became a parish church.

History: In 1632, the construction of a chapel for the Order of Preachers at the corner of the Rue du Bac and the Way of the Cows was undertaken. The monastery Saint-Thomas-d-Aquin was created by Françoise de Saliné, daughter of the lord of Argombat (or Argoumbat), born in Beaumont-de-Lomagne in 1604; his name in religion was Françoise des Séraphim. The construction of the present church began in 1682 on the plans of architect Pierre Bullet. The church was consecrated in 1683, under the name of Saint-Dominique church by François Harlay de Champvallon. In 1722, the construction of the choir of the religious began, today Saint-Louis chapel. A decade later, from 1735 to 1739, the Dominican novitiate was built.
