About

The church Saint-Victor is a Gothic church built in downtown Guyancourt. It is dedicated to Saint Victor, a Roman soldier, martyr, who died on July 21, 303 in Marseilles. Some elements of the church would be prior to the 13th century so the Merovingian sarcophagi, discovered in 1998, suggest the presence on this site of a cultural place from the 6th century.

The bell of 1557, recast in 1900, has been classified since April 27, 1944. The church has been listed as a historical monument since 11 January 1951.
