Sainte-Marie-Madeleine Church is a church located at 59 Rue de Ghent in the Old Lille district of Lille. It is the former chapel of the Carmes undressed became parish church in 1991 after the church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine on Rue du Pont Neuf was disused to worship. It was listed as a Historic Monument in March 1934.

History: Isabelle of Spain and the archduke Albert of Austria, her husband, had in 1616 in Lille the chames "decal", that was at the time of the Counter-Reform. They acquired land in 1620, at the Riez du château, near the new enclosure of the Gate of Ghent, to establish their convent there, its church being completed in 1623. Living in extreme poverty, they practiced in preaching and art conflicting conferences for the people. The convent consisted of several small houses where each brother retired outside the Masses and hours of divine service. Two fires (1625 and 1638) ravaged the convent, the present date of 1671; Lille had become French for four years. The church was destroyed by fire in 1645 but rebuilt between 1646 and 1669. This...
