église de la Madeleine de Moisy
The church of Madeleine de Moisy is located in the French department of Loir-et-Cher. It was classified as a historical heritage on 21 January 2008, especially for its recently renovated altarpiece. The altarpiece presents the shepherd Christ (or Good Shepherd), a fairly widespread representation of the first three centuries, but more rare and remarkable thereafter. Parts of the priory are traced back to the 12th century, and parts of the priory are dated from the 14th and 18th centuries.
Retable: The altarpiece of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine Church was classified by an order of the Ministry of Culture of February 22, 1979. It is remarkable by its simplicity, made up of painted wooden panels representing liturgical objects of Christian ceremonies and a painting surmounts the altar representing Christ as Good Shepherd. It was restored in 2007-2008, thanks to the mobilization of the ACM (Association culturelle de Moisy and surrounding municipalities). A guided tour takes place every first Saturday of the month from 2 to 4 p.m.
