The Palace of the Kings of Majorca (in Catalan: Palau dels Reis de Mallorca) was built in Perpignan to house the courtyard of the kingdom of Majorca. The result of the desire of King James II of Majorca to have a residence worthy of this name, it is one of the first fortress palaces of the West preceding for several decades the palace of the popes of Avignon, the castle of Vincennes or that of Karlštejn in Bohemia.
