The shelter of Laugerie-Haute is located in the commune of Eyzies, in Dordogne, on the right bank of the Vézère valley. It is one of fifteen "prehistoric sites and caves adorned with the Vézère Valley" registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1979.
