About

The Montbrison Memorial to the Dead is a cenotaph located in the public garden at Montbrison, which pays tribute to the soldiers who died during the First World War and to the aviator Émile Reymond, senator and captain-aviator killed on October 21, 1914. The city also has two other monuments to the dead: a commemorative column to the Veterans of the Lyon sculptor Prost, erected in 1922 on the Place de la Grande Fountain, which became the place of the Combatants and another in the former commune of Moingt attached in 1973.
