Refuge de Varan

About

The Varan refuge is located at an altitude of 1,620 m. It offers 30 sleeping accommodations during the summer season as well as traditional Savoyard meals. It provides direct access to several paragliding take-off areas and multiple hiking trails. The refuge is located on the Fiz tower, a multi-day hike through several shelters in the Fiz chain. It is accessible by several means:

in 4 × 4 by a carriageway; on foot from the plateau of Assyria; via the via ferrata of Currala.
