Baume d'Échenoz

The balm of Échenoz (or Cave de la Baume) is a natural cavity located in the commune of Échenoz-la-Méline, south of Vesoul, in Haute-Saône, in Franche-Comté. Stunned since the early 19th century, it has delivered fossil remains and lithic tools of the Mousterian. The cave is part of the Réseau de cavities à rhinolophes de Vesoul and has been a regional nature reserve since 2015.
