The Monument to the Dead of the Foreign Legion is a monument to the dead located at the Museum of the Foreign Legion in Aubagne; Originally built in Sidi-bel-Abbès in 1931, it was rebuilt in 1963 in Aubagne. The monument pays tribute to the soldiers who died of the Foreign Legion during the various campaigns including the conquest of Algeria, the Second Empire campaigns, the colonial conquests between 1885 and 1910, the First World War. The sacred path in front of the monument is the traditional place of celebration of the Battle of Camerone.
