About

The Monument to Victory and Peace, now known as the monument of the Franco-Moroccan fraternity, is a monument of Paul Landowski remembering Moroccan and French soldiers killed during the First World War. He represents a French rider and a Moroccan rider holding hands. It was originally built in Casablanca, when Morocco was under French protectorate, and inaugurated on 20 July 1924 by Marshal Lyautey. After Morocco's independence, he was repatriated in 1961 to Senlis.
