tombeau de Conrad de Bussnang
The tomb of Conrad de Bussnang, sometimes also known as the epitaph of Conrad de Bussnang, is a funeral monument located in the chapel of Saint John Baptist of Strasbourg Cathedral. It was carved in 1464 by Nicolas de Leide for Conrad IV of Bussnang, an important member of the cathedral chapter having briefly been bishop between 1439 and 1440 before having to resign, victim of the struggles of influence within the great chapter. Partially destroyed in the seventeenth century, only the upper part remains.
