église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Précy-sur-Oise
Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul Church is a parish Catholic church located in Précy-sur-Oise, Oise, France. This is certainly not the first church in Precy. Its oldest part, the choir, dates back to the end of the 12th century, and is of primitive Gothic style.
The flat bedside is noticed by a particularly well balanced composition, and inside, the choir is treated with exceptional refinement. The lateral elevations and the sculpture of the capitals are influenced by the first Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris. The nave, as wide and as high as the choir, was rebuilt under the seigneur Louis de Saint-Gelais from 1570.
The style is flamboyant Gothic, while the Renaissance is already at its peak. On the architectural level, the nave is much less remarkable, but it is well aligned with the choir. The bell tower has elements of the two construction campaigns, and it was enhanced in the 18th century.
The two gates of the church were redone in the last quarter of the 19th century. In 1950, Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul Church was restored and is now in good condition.
