The telescape, a valise word consisting of "télépherique" and "bathyscaphe", is an underwater cable car device for visiting the seabed. Inaugurated in June 1967 between the Goudes and Callelongu calanque in the 8th arrondissement of Marseille, the telescape lasted only one year.
