About

Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul Church is a Catholic parish church located in Baron, France. Its bell tower with a 45 m high stone arrow dates from the 15th century. The church itself was built entirely in the sixteenth century in the flamboyant Gothic style, and has a rare homogeneity, even more inside than outside.

The main façade is that of the south, and the most neat element is the southern crusillon which has the gate. There are no high windows: the high walls of the nave and choir are bare above the large arcades. The interior is very sober: there is not a single capital, and the mouldings are concentrated on corrugated piles and large arcades, but the clear lines and harmony of proportions create an impression of elegance, emphasized by the 18th century woodwork from the Chaalis Abbey.

The church was classified very early as historical monuments by list of 1840, and is thus one of the first thirteen historical monuments in the Oise department. She is now affiliated with the parish of Notre-Dame-de-la-Visitation du Haudouin.
