The covered driveway of the coast of the Libera is a covered driveway located in the commune of Arronville in the Val-d'Oise department.
History: The covered alley was discovered in February 1884 during the exploitation of a quarry in the Lutetian limestone banks. It was immediately searched by a commission composed of local personalities: Mr.Chouquet, mayor of the commune, Abbé Barret, parish priest of Amblainville, Abbé Grimot, parish priest of Isle Adam. The building is classified as historical monuments by order of 25 January 1963. It was restored by the Regional Archaeology Service in 1970.
Architecture: The driveway is located at an altitude of 90 m on the hillside along the east bank of the Sausseron 350 m away. It is oriented on an east-south-east/west-north-west axis, in the direction of the natural slope, with the entrance to the west-north-west. The aisle was dug into the limestone bank of the slope, two thirds of its length, as a hypogee. It is 12 m long for about 1.75 m to 2 m wide and its height reaches 1.80 m on the side of the entrance; On the bedside, the bedroom's natural ceiling was destroyed by the carriers...
