The chapel Notre-Dame de la Consolation (known as the chapel Saint-Jacques or the chapel of the Hospital) is listed as historical monuments by prefectural decree of 3 November 1987. It is located along Avenue Philippe Solari in Aix-en-Provence, completely enclaved in the buildings of the hospital Saint-Jacques, in the department of Bouches-du-Rhône and in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The town of Aix-en-Provence is the owner.

History: The first mention of the chapel dates back to the late 11th century (1092?), when Archbishop Peter II donated to the cathedral chapter. The present chapel occupies the location of an old Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Andrew, and n It was integrated into the hospital complex, built by the consul and patron, Jacques de La Roque, at the beginning of the 16th century. In 1585 this chapel was granted, by the chapter of Saint-Sauveur, to the order of the Capuchins, who made it their convent church.
