La Chapelle Saint-Jean le Théologien or chapel de la Maladière is a place of worship dedicated to Orthodox Christianity located in Dijon in Côte-d'Or in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. This chapel has belonged since December 1977 to the Coptic Orthodox community, which celebrates the liturgy of the Patriarchate of Alexandria. The monument is listed as historical monuments by order of 16 January 1947.

History: Before the 12th century, outside the town of Dijon on the road leading to Ruffey-lès-Echirey, in the present district of the Maladière, a leprosy is built and then transformed into a farmhouse in the 13th century. The Hospices of Dijon leased this rural property to individuals before the city became its owner in 1935.

Architecture: The chapel of Saint-Lazare dates from the 12th century and its nave is destroyed in the 18th century. The church was dedicated to the three patron saints of the sick (Lazarus, Martha and Mary of Bethany). The remains of the choir and transept today form the chapel of Saint John the Theology.
