The Sainte-Chapelle de Dijon was the special chapel of the Dukes of Burgundy and the seat of the Order of the Golden Fleece until the death of Charles the Temerary and the removal of the Order to the Palace of Coudenberg in Brussels. She was particularly dear to the Capetian Dukes, the Valois Dukes and then the kings of France. It was until the end of the Old Regime intimately linked to the history of Burgundy, the solemn services, the victories and funeral directors of the princes.
The sovereigns and governors marked their passage there and fireworks were fired there. It was destroyed in 1802.
