The Jean-Moulin National Centre is a Bordeaux museum and documentation centre dedicated to the history of the Second World War and in particular to the history of the French Resistance, deportation and the Free French Forces. It was created in 1967 on the initiative of Jacques Chaban-Delmas. It has been attached to the Museum of Aquitaine since April 2006 and publishes reference works on the Second World War period. The museum has been closed since 2018 for renovation. The reopening originally planned for 2022 is still not effective in 2024. Part of the content was transferred to the Aquitaine Museum.

The creation of the Jean-Moulin National Centre: It is during a commemorative exhibition of the 20th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Bordeaux organized in 1964 that the idea of creating a centre dedicated to the Second World War was born. The centre was born of a meeting between Jacques Chaban-Delmas, then mayor of Bordeaux and a former resistant, Geneviève Thieuleux.
