About

The Parc du 26e Centenaire Jean-Claude Gaudin is a public garden located in the 8th arrondissement of Marseille. It is located on the site of the former Prado railway station near Castellane Square, in the heart of the city. Work began in autumn 1999 and the park was inaugurated by Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin on June 23, 2001.

Its name refers to the foundation of Marseille, 26 centuries ago by the Greeks under the name Massalia. In 2005, he was labeled a remarkable Garden. It is served by Line 3 of the tramway of Marseille, at the eponymous station.
