église Saint-Didier de Villiers-le-Bel
Saint-Didier Church, formerly dedicated to Saint Éterne, is a Catholic church located in Villiers-le-Bel, France. Apart from two walls and the southern crusillon dating back to the first quarter of the 13th century, the building dates essentially from the last quarter of the 15th century and the second half of the 16th century, and the flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance influences sometimes overlap in one part of the building. Now, the plan remains of great homogeneity, and the facades as well as the interior are quite harmonious.
Especially the flamboyant vaults and Renaissance finishes are remarkable, including the foothills in front of the south side and the north side of the nave. The church has been listed as a historic monument since 1931. Stability problems made it necessary to rebuild the bell tower in 2007.
