Église Notre-Dame de Rive-de-Gier

The church of Notre-Dame de Rive-de-Gier has been included in the inventory of historical monuments since 1981. The protected elements are the frescoes of the choir of the church that were made by the painter Giovanni Zaccheo (1819-1882) between 1850 and 1853. On 15 February 1818 the first stone received the blessing, on 16 December 1823 the church of Notre-Dame was blessed and in 1845 the construction ended. It benefited from internal restoration in 1983 with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture, State and Department grants and subscriptions.
