Saint-Justin Church is a Catholic church located in Louvres, France. It is a church of two epochs and four different styles, and one can distinguish five distinct construction campaigns, the last three of which are close together. Despite its complex history, the church of Saint-Justin has an amazing homogeneity.
Its plane is extremely simple and consists of a nave of five spans flanked by two sides of the same length. There's no transept or bell tower. The three vessels also retain the same width and height throughout the length.
The western facade is still Romanesque and dates back to the first quarter of the 12th century. In the middle of the next century, the Romanesque church was extended eastward and enjoyed a new Gothic choir. It consists of a two-span central ship accompanied by low-sides, and remains to date except the capitals in the middle, and except the vaults of the central ship.
The third campaign followed the destruction of the public good war in 1465. The cave walls and the large arcades of the nave are rebuilt, new vaults are launched on the entire central ship...
