About

Sainte-Geneviève Church is a parish Catholic church located in Puisseux-en-France, Val-d'Oise, France. First mentioned in 1119, it was rebuilt several times. The current building is in a rustic Gothic style, not allowing precise dating.

Its plane is rectangular, with three vessels, and measures five spans in length. The first three spans correspond to the nave and its sides, and are simply ceilinged with wood. The first span of the north side is the base of the bell tower, and serves as a porch.

The last two spans correspond to the sanctuary and its two side chapels, and were vaulted with warheads in the Renaissance. However, there is a flamboyant Gothic capital at the entrance to the choir, to the right, and Renaissance capitals only exist at the beginning of the nave, to the south, and in the northern lateral chapel, dedicated to Sainte-Geneviève. The southern side chapel, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, was taken over in the modern period, as were all the windows on the south side and the only western bay.
