Saint-Nicolas Church is a parish Catholic church located in Fresnoy-en-Thelle, Oise department, France. Its austere and characterless approaches hide a quality building of the second quarter of the 12th century and the first half of the 16th century, which remained partially unfinished, and was mistreated by the neo-classical overhaul of the façade in 1758 and the demolition of the upper parts of the bell tower after 1842. They were rebuilt without real style.
However, the transept, whose southern crusillon was apparently never built, and the rectangular choir form a homogeneous ensemble of the last Romanesque period. Vaulted by warheads from the beginning, these three spans are an interesting testimony of the successive transition to the Gothic style. Thus, the double arches are already in broken arches, and the fascicated pillars, well-hierarchized, have very fine capital columns.
