chapelle Notre-Dame à Pritz
The chapel of Pritz or chapel of Priz (pronounced locally "prisse"), located in Laval is a mainly Romanesque chapel whose construction extends from the eighth century to the twelfth century. This chapel is located in Laval, 1500 m on the road to Changé near an old ford on the Mayenne. Pritz is also (at first) the name of a tributary stream of the Mayenne, 3,760 m long.
One of the niches on the adjacent façade was listed as historic monuments in 1926, with the chapel classified in 1938. Private property since its sale on the 12 germinal year 2 (1794) for 1,805 pounds, it then passed on to the same family that preserved it.
