The collegiate church of Écouis is a former collegiate church placed under the invocation of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption was founded by Enguerrand de Marigny, Minister of Finance of Philippe le Bel. Born in Lyons-la-Forêt, the latter owned a rich estate in Ecouis with a hospital and a college of canons.
