The National Mountain Troop Memorial is a monument established in memory of the 150,000 soldiers of the body of the mountain troops who had fallen for France since its creation in 1888. Inaugurated on 17 June 2000, it is located at 634 meters above sea level, on Mount Jalla overlooking the city of Grenoble.
