Rennes Opera house

The Rennes Opera is an Italian-style theatre located in the city centre of Rennes. It was designed by Charles Millardet and built by Pierre Louise in the 19th century. It is located Place de la Mairie, of which it constitutes the essential on the eastern side facing the town hall.

The building today mainly hosts lyrical art and organizes some local events, such as the "Open-air Opera". It has been included in the inventory of historical monuments since 29 October 1975.
